Attention fans of the late, beloved reality show "Rock Star: INXS": J.D. Fortune is back on CBS!

Fortune, who won the 2005 edition of "Rock Star," supplies the music for a new promo the Eye is airing to hype next month's premiere of Jerry Bruckheimer's drama "Miami Medical." The song is called "One More Day"; the promo is below.

As for fortune, he spent much of the year estranged from his INXS bandmates. His admitted cocaine use was behind the separation, but Fortune was scheduled to reunite with the band last month during a performance at the Olympics.

Now if CBS would only come to its senses and reunite with "Rock Star."

Jesse McCartney will be trading in his sharp suits for a NASCAR uniform next month when he competes in the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race.

The Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race is part of the 36th annual Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach. The historic, 10-lap race for charity on a 1.97-mile street circuit through the downtown streets of Long Beach in Southern California is one of six featured events during race weekend.

The field of drivers — which include Keanu Reeves, Zachary Levi and Christian Slater — will compete in identically-prepared race-ready Scion tCs in what has become the world’s longest-running, most prestigious celebrity racing event.

And my two cents, the straight-on picture of her in mom jeans makes her look much better than the camel-toed upskirt shot. Also, she's top-heavy and has a short neck, which make her look larger than she actually is. Still, she looks to be about a US size 6 (pants-size). She looks pretty spanx'd out on Letterman, and seems to have gained more weight. Get some.

A California jury recommended Tuesday that a man who once appeared on "The Dating Game" be executed for the murders of four women and a child.

The jury deliberated an hour before deciding that Rodney Alcala, 66, should pay with his life for the murders of Robin Samsoe, Jill Barcomb, Georgia Wixted, Charlotte Lamb and Jill Parentau, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office said.

Alcala will be formally sentenced Wednesday in Santa Ana, Orange County, where the case was tried even though most of the crimes were committed in neighboring Los Angeles.

The slayings took place between November 1977 and June 1979, covering a wide swath of suburban Los Angeles from Burbank to El Segundo, prosecutors said.

Before he was a convicted serial killer, Alcala was a winning bachelor on "The Dating Game."

Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman have signed on to star in Universal's body-switching comedy "The Change-Up." Story centers on a responsible family man (Bateman) who switches bodies with his best friend, a lazy man-child (Reynolds).

Neal Moritz has come aboard to produce alongside David Dobkin, who has been overseeing development of the project and will also direct.
Screenplay was written by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore ("The Hangover").

Bateman, who is currently onscreen in "Up in the Air," has become something of a go-to thesp for Universal and is said to have doubled his quote for the "Change Up" role. His previous projects with the studio include "Smokin' Aces," "The Kingdom," "State of Play" and "Couples Retreat." He also has the U comedy "Paul" coming out this year, and he is attached to "The Remarkable Fellows," which is in development at Universal. Bateman will next be seen opposite Jennifer Aniston in Disney's "The Switch," due out on Aug. 20.

Reynolds has seen his star rise, having starred in two box-office hits last year: "The Proposal" and "X-Men Origins: Wolverine." He is attached to reprise his role as Deadpool in an X-Men spin-off for Fox.

Bateman and Reynolds are repped by CAA. Bateman is additionally managed by 3 Arts.

Michael Giacchino To Score John Carter of Mars



MovieScore Magazine has confirmed that Academy Award winner Michael Giacchino will be writing the score for Andrew Stanton’s adaptation of John Carter of Mars. This shouldn’t be a huge surprise considering Giacchino’s relationship with Pixar: Giacchino has been working with Pixar for some time, providing the score for The Incredibles, Ratatouille, Up, and short films Lifted, Partly Cloudy, and Teddy Newton’s upcoming short Night And Day.
